Junior Achievement of North Florida’s Building Better Tomorrows Virtual Event is just a week away. On Thursday, Oct. 22, the nonprofit will be streaming the online fundraiser on its YouTube channel from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Al Emerick will be hosting the event and will give virtual guests a closer look at JA through lively videos, special guests and more. There will also be a special tribute to retiring JA of North Florida President Steve St. Amand who is leaving his position at the end of the year.
Virtual guests can register now for the event at janfl.org where they also have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for the chance to win prizes worth thousands of dollars.
Only 100 tickets will be sold for the chance to win a trip to Colorado. The prize includes a four-night stay at a private residence in Winter Park and a $1,000 ticket voucher from Delta Airlines. The mountain getaway is a three-bedroom home with breathtaking views of the slopes. Tickets are $100 each for a chance to win this prize worth $4,275.
There are also only 100 tickets available to win a complete day of golf at the Tournament Players Club at Sawgrass. The prize package worth $2,500 includes a round of golf for four, cart fees, green fees and forecaddie fees. It also includes lunch for four, four JA golf shirts, golf balls, ball markers and other prizes. Tickets for this item are $75 each.
Tickets can be purchased now at janfl.org. You can also register for the event, donate to fulfill a need or sign up to become a JA Virtual Volunteer. There is no cost to register. Donations can also be made before and during the event through the website or by texting BUILDING to 50155.
