Dionne Wellington, owner of Icecapade Frozen Treats, is enthusiastic about this new dessert shop. “We are offering a healthy alternative to traditional frozen desserts and it's vegan friendly.” The owners of Icecapade Frozen Treats took traditional flavors from their childhood memories and brought it to life to produce handcrafted artisanal ice pops.

Icecapade Frozen Treats is a Jacksonville-based and Historic Springfield District’s first frozen dessert company that specializes in creating premium artisanal ice pops with a caribbean flair for pick-up, catering and dine-in or out. Its location features lite bites, a Pop Art Gallery which showcases local artists’ work, umbrella covered outdoor seating and a cozy inviting atmosphere with an island vibe. In 2018, owners Dionne Wellington and Joseph L. Wellington opened their first site in Historic Springfield District as a sidewalk kiosk in front of its current brick and mortar location during renovation. Now that the improvements are complete the brick and mortar location is now open to the public.
