North Florida Land Trust to Host 20th Anniversary Annual Meeting at Cummer Museum

The event will be a special evening to celebrate 20 years of conservation

Published Wednesday, February 12, 2020

North Florida Land Trust is changing things up this year for its annual meeting in celebration of its 20 years in operation. Instead of the traditional luncheon, the nonprofit land conservation organization is hosting a special evening event at the Cummer Museum of Arts & Gardens on Wednesday, February 19.

“This is a special anniversary as we celebrate our 20th year and more than 20,000 acres of land that we have been able to preserve for future generations,” said Jim McCarthy, president of NFLT. “This evening event is a way for us to spend a little more time with our supporters, donors, volunteers and community leaders in a more celebratory setting. We will be showcasing what we have done in the past and what we have planned for the future. It is a ticketed event and also serves as a fundraiser to help us continue our work throughout north Florida.”

The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails and bluegrass by Brett Bass and Melted Plectrum. The dinner and program will start at 6:30 p.m. The guest speaker is Andrew Bowman, president of the Land Trust Alliance, the lead organization and resource for land trusts across the nation. McCarthy will showcase NFLT’s accomplishments over the past 20 years and the goals ahead for 2020. They will also present the annual awards to major donors, volunteers and outgoing board members.

The 20th Anniversary Annual Meeting is open to everyone. Tickets are $100 each and can be purchased at Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Contact Genevieve Fletcher at or at (904) 479-1967.
