Freedom Boat Club and Jacksonville School for Autism Host Boatgate with Bravo TV’s Captain Sandy

The fundraiser is Sunday, Dec. 8 before the Jaguars vs. Chargers game

Freedom Boat Club has become famous for arriving to local sporting events by boat. Cleverly coining these pre-game parties "boatgates.” The boat club ships a fleet of boats, and sometimes their seventy-foot houseboat, to Jaguar games and the annual Florida/Georgia weekend to tailgate on the water. On Sunday, Dec. 8, they are teaming up with the Jacksonville School for Autism and Safe Harbor Boys Academy to provide a boatgate like never before.

Freedom Boat Club and the Jacksonville School for Autism are sponsoring an event to benefit the school aboard the 125-foot superyacht Amazing Grace, being donated by Safe Harbor Boys Academy. From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., prior to the Jaguars home game, attendees can enjoy beverages, hors d’oeuvres, and meet Captain Sandy Yawn from Bravo TV’s Below Deck Mediterranean. Captain Sandy is an advocate for autism awareness and her nephew attends the Jacksonville School for Autism. Ticket holders can meet Captain Sandy, talk about the show and have their picture taken with the famous mariner.

The Boatgate with Captain Sandy will be held at Metropolitan Park Marina before the Jags take on the Los Angeles Chargers. Tickets are on sale for 50 and 75 dollars. Both ticket options include an opportunity to meet and take a photo with Captain Sandy. The $75 ticket option includes a one-way shuttle boat ride from the Southbank to the Northbank.

Those wishing to attend can register online at www.jsakids.org/product/boatgate-with-captain-sandy/. Tickets are limited and all proceeds directly support the Jacksonville School for Autism.
