JAXPORT recently presented checks worth more than $34,500 to the United Way of Northeast Florida and Community Health Charities.

The funds, raised by employee donations as well as the port’s annual Charity Golf Tournament, will support local charities providing services to the citizens of Northeast Florida.

JAXPORT has contributed more than $659,000 to the two charities since 2002.

“The continued success of JAXPORT’s annual charity drive is a true testament to the generosity of our employees and port partners,” said JAXPORT CEO Eric Green. “Together, we are improving the quality of life in our community through job creation, economic opportunity and giving back to those in need."
