Families on the First Coast can celebrate Father’s Day with Affordable Family Fun at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville June 18, when the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp host an all-you-can-eat picnic and pregame catch on the field for the 3:05 p.m. Baptist Health Sunday Family FUNday game with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos.

Individuals and families may now log onto a special link at ( enter password “shrimpdeck”) to purchase Father’s Day Cookout packages that include reserved seats and the all-you-can-eat buffet in the third-base side Shrimp Deck from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 18. With the purchase of a Father’s Day Cookout package, each father at the picnic will receive a free Jumbo Shrimp cap.

The Father’s Day celebration at the ballpark will also include a Father’s Day Grill Giveaway presented by Channel 4 The Local Station to one lucky fan, and the Inflatamaniacs inflatable entertainers will be performing at the game. For Boat Day, boaters may dock their boats at Metropolitan Park Marina and purchase a discounted reserved seat ticket at (enter password “boatjax”).

Normally only served to groups of 24 or more people, the cookout menu of all-you-can-eat hamburgers, hot dogs, cole slaw, beans, cookies, tea and lemonade is available for individuals and families to purchase. Reservation space is limited. Packages are $20 per person and include access to the all-you-can-eat cookout buffet and a reserved seat for the Jumbo Shrimp’s 3:05 p.m. game. Children ages 3 and under who do not require a seat do not need a ticket.

As part of another Baptist Health Sunday Family FUNday, kids and their families can play catch on the field when gates open at 2 p.m. Free face painting, balloon animals, and kids crafts activities will be available in the Wolfson Children’s Hospital Kids Zone. Following the game, kids 12 and under can run the bases.
