Jumbo Shrimp Director of Broadcasting Roger Hoover returns for his sixth season as the play-by-play voice of Jacksonville baseball and will announce each game this season. Hoover is entering his 10th season broadcasting professional baseball. The past two years he has contributed play-by-play for Miami Marlins spring training baseball on the Marlins Radio Network’s audio stream for select big league games.

“I’m very excited about our partnership with The Biz for what is the most enthusiastically anticipated season in Jacksonville baseball history,” Hoover said. “They will be a great radio home for us as we deliver the most fan-friendly radio broadcast in baseball. Fans will have a lot of fun with us, as we use innovative ways to get them more involved with our broadcast and the Jumbo Shrimp.”

Joining Hoover on the radio will be Jumbo Shrimp Media and Public Relations Manager Marco LaNave, who is in his second season in Jacksonville after spending the previous four years as head of media relations and lead play-by-play broadcaster with the Quad Cities River Bandits in Davenport, Iowa. Cody DeLettre and Jacob Lovelace will produce games from the Jumbo Shrimp Network Studios.
