100.3 The Biz is Jumbo Shrimp's radio home for 2017

Published Monday, April 3, 2017

Every game of the inaugural season of Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp baseball will be broadcast live, as the Jumbo Shrimp Network, presented by Community First Credit Union, is again partnering with Delmarva Educational Association Corporation, to carry all 140 regular season games – beginning April 6 – and potential playoff dates. Nearly all games will be on the flagship station, FM 100.3 and AM 1600 The Biz, with the balance of select weekday games (4-5) broadcast online.

The Jumbo Shrimp Network gives fans free, live online broadcasts of all games at www.jaxshrimp.com and the TuneIn app. Every home game will stream live and on-demand on MiLB.TV. Subscription to MiLB.TV includes access to game video streams across Minor League Baseball. All Jumbo Shrimp home games on MiLB.TV will carry the broadcast heard on 100.3 The Biz.

“100.3 The Biz is proud to partner with the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp,” said 100.3 The Biz Station Manager Gary Walsh. “We are always looking for great family fun and nobody does it better than the Jumbo Shrimp!”

In addition to comprehensive pregame (15 minutes before scheduled first pitch) and postgame shows, the Jumbo Shrimp Network will again offer fans The Jumbo Shrimp Podcast, along with video and written features at medium.com/jaxshrimp.

Jumbo Shrimp Director of Broadcasting Roger Hoover returns for his sixth season as the play-by-play voice of Jacksonville baseball and will announce each game this season. Hoover is entering his 10th season broadcasting professional baseball. The past two years he has contributed play-by-play for Miami Marlins spring training baseball on the Marlins Radio Network’s MLB.com audio stream for select big league games.

“I’m very excited about our partnership with The Biz for what is the most enthusiastically anticipated season in Jacksonville baseball history,” Hoover said. “They will be a great radio home for us as we deliver the most fan-friendly radio broadcast in baseball. Fans will have a lot of fun with us, as we use innovative ways to get them more involved with our broadcast and the Jumbo Shrimp.”

Joining Hoover on the radio will be Jumbo Shrimp Media and Public Relations Manager Marco LaNave, who is in his second season in Jacksonville after spending the previous four years as head of media relations and lead play-by-play broadcaster with the Quad Cities River Bandits in Davenport, Iowa. Cody DeLettre and Jacob Lovelace will produce games from the Jumbo Shrimp Network Studios.
