Rescheduled: Destination Downtown Tampa
After careful consideration, and in light of the ongoing COVID-19 developments, we are rescheduling the Destination Downtown Tampa trip to July 29-31. We look forward to hosting you over the summer.
Join us in Tampa for this year's Destination Downtown trip. Downtown Tampa has undergone a transformation in recent years and we'll be meeting with city leaders and business owners who have worked together to make that change happen.
The Destination Downtown Tampa trip is presented by Miller Electric Company. Miller Electric CEO Henry Brown is the trip chair.
Once a donor city whose talent left and didn't return, the city now sees a population increase of 50,000 people per year. Tampa city leaders have made a concerted effort to invest in their downtown and the population growth shows how a focus on the waterfront, green spaces, and smart development can change the future of a downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods.
We'll visit the Big 4: The Heights, Midtown, Water Street and the Westshore Marina District. These large-scale, mixed-use developments are within six miles of each other and will add millions of square feet in commercial and residential space into the area. More than $13 billion in nonresidential and multifamily projects are expected in the pipeline by 2022.
Single Occupancy - $1,500
Double Occupancy - $1,400
*The trip fee includes hotel accommodations for two nights, some meals, some ground transportation and several hosted tours and excursions. Flight not included in the cost of the trip. Attendees are responsible for booking their own flights.
