Active shooter incidents are unpredictable and evolve quickly. These incidents are often over in a matter of minutes, typically before law enforcement arrives. People must be mentally and physically prepared in order to protect themselves.

JAX Chamber is co-hosting an active shooter training with Black Knight. Skilled safety professionals will give participants the education, insight and tools to be more prepared for active shooter situations.

Michael Skoglund and Simon Robb will facilitate the training.

  • Mike serves as Vice President and Director of the Physical Security Office at Black Knight. He is a physical security professional and executive with more than 24 years of experience in law enforcement, loss prevention/investigations and corporate security.
  • Simon is a Police Sergeant with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) in Florida. He is currently the supervisor of the department's Emergency Preparedness Unit managing planning and logistics. He has 22 years of law enforcement experience.
