They deliver a high level of integrated services for the full project life-cycle in six service areas: water, environment, infrastructure, resource management, energy, and international development.

Tetra Tech has maintained a Jacksonville office since 1998, and has focused our efforts locally on the support of federal, state, and local clients such as the U.S. Navy, NASA, City of Jacksonville, FDEP, and Amazon.

Amazon Fulfillment Center (JAX2):

Tetra Tech’s Jacksonville, Florida office led and managed the development of the Amazon JAX2 Fulfillment Center, 2.4 million square foot distribution fulfillment center located near the Jacksonville International Airport.

Tetra Tech professionals managed and performed the following services: expediting services associated with permit issuance and local jurisdictional approval, civil engineering site design, development and permitting, local zoning and jurisdictional variance support services, utility coordination and commitment, civil engineering design services associated with the relocation and construction of several local, state, and federal roadways associated with the project, natural resource planning and management including endangered species studies, wetlands delineation and permitting, and environmental due diligence services.

Tetra Tech’s commitment to this project and opportunity was instrumental in bringing this tenant and all of the economic development impacts of a development of this size to Jacksonville. Jacksonville City Council and staff of the City of Jacksonville Economic Development team have indicated that the approximately 4,500 high paying, skilled jobs this project created will bring approximately $1.96B of economic impact to the City of Jacksonville in the next 10 years, and is the largest economic development project in the past 25 years.

NAS Mayport and JAX

Tetra Tech has been providing environmental compliance, site assessment and remediation services to the Navy for the last 20 plus years.  Extensive work has been conducted at N.S. Mayport, NAS Jacksonville, the former Cecil Field (Cecil Commerce Center)  and at NASA at Cape Kennedy to solve complex contaminated site issues and enable or return numerous sites to productive use.   We have also provided civil site services teaming with small business construction partners to redevelop and construct facilities to support mission objectives.

Project New Ground

Tetra Tech conducted extensive work within the Jacksonville community to refurbish and restore 100s of residential, commercial and industrial properties impacted by the placement of incinerator ASH.  Our work extensive engagement working with the impacted communities included teaming with Jacksonville Small Emerging Businesses (JSEBs) and employment of dozens of residents of the impacted neighborhoods.   Our survey approval ratings obtained from the residents were amongst the highest in program history.

Thank you Jacksonville for the support, we look forward to contributing to the vibrant growth of our great city.
