Newsweek in its ranking of the nation's more than 23,000 public high schools: Stanton College Preparatory School and Paxon School for Advanced Studies have ranked in the top 30 for the past five years.

More than 291 public schools, 100 private schools, 16 colleges and universities and 30 vocational and trade institutions exist in Northeast Florida.
