The Designers of Downtown's New Front Door: Marquis Halback Inc.

Offering a wide variety of planning, design and management services, principals Fred Halback and Jeremy Marquis, along with the entire talented team, assess project conditions and values, creating environments that are functional, creative and sustainable.

Fred Halback brings over 35 years of experience to each project the firm undertakes, assuring a hands-on approach to client services. Over the years, a wide variety of public and private-sector owners have relied on this approach to guide their choices toward a successful project solution. Fred has been recognized twice in White House ceremonies for projects of significant environmental design.

Jeremy Marquis, a LEED accredited professional, brings an in-depth understanding of sustainability to the firm’s projects. He leads the firm’s HalbackGreen initiative to highlight sustainable solutions and designs. Jeremy brings extensive horticultural and design training that allows him to guide projects from concept to reality.

Areas of expertise include historic & cultural landscapes, work environments, community parks & public spaces, urban environments, and custom residences. Project experience includes the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, the St. Augustine Multi-Modal Transportation Facility at the VIC, Flagler College's master plan, and the new urban parks for Downtown's New Front Door at JAX Chamber.
