CEO and Founder Joachim “JK” Grafe grew up in Germany before moving to the United States in 1998. In 1985, JK spent all of his savings on a new Commodore computer. He found computers so intriguing that he has devoted himself to the, working for the last 25 years as a professional software developer. One former project is the Jax2World website for the Jacksonville Aviation Authority.
He works in the IT industry because he loves the variety. In his business, JK emphasizes that one day you can work with hospitals, and the next day with small businesses. He enjoys analyzing problems and finding solutions on a daily basis.
“Every day is a new experience about learning new things,” he says. JK’s favorite part about his work is converting documents to paperless for his customers.
While making customers happy is one of JK’s biggest achievements, he also seeks to help IT students by offering internships to local colleges. The internships help upcoming students get more knowledge in computer programming.
JK has been a trustee member of JAX Chamber since 2011. He also was part of the Cecil Field Advisory Committee, International Visitor Corps of Jacksonville and Westside Business Leaders where he received ‘Citizen of the Year’ in 2007.
In his spare time, JK spends time with his wife of 15 years, Birgit. They live on a ranch with their four horses. He enjoys outdoor activities as well as golf, tennis, watching football and boating during the summer.
