On the state, local, and federal levels, the Chamber is a champion for a number of local business causes. The key issues locally comprise of economic development, education, health care, international, military, small business and transportation.

The Chamber also strives to provide members of the business community with accurate and timely information on issues of regional impact.

No on 4 Initiative
Florida business, civic and labor leaders convened in Tallahassee to hear the report of a top Florida economist showing that Amendment 4 - a proposed change to the state constitution - would lead to heavy job loss and higher costs for Floridians. In an unprecedented show of unity, labor and business leaders agreed to jointly oppose Amendment 4.

Full Utilization of Naval Station Mayport
In the wake of the decommissioning of the USS John F. Kennedy, the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce, the First Coast Manufacturers Association and the Jacksonville Area Ship Repair Association, along with the Jacksonville City Council, have issued resolutions calling for the immediate assignment of additional ships at Mayport.
